With no high expectations and the thought of "nothing to lose," stepping into the Sabi Yeonhwa 360 Sphere Theater turned out to be a delightful surprise. Offering a much-needed rest for tired legs after a day of travel, the 20-minute immersive film transported me into the enchanting story of Sabi Castle, blurring the lines between dream and reality.
The Jeongnimsaji Museum has evolved beyond traditional artifact displays, adopting cutting-edge information and communication technologies (ICT) to create an interactive experience for visitors.
The Redesigned Exhibits
The museum’s exhibits, previously spread across three galleries, have been restructured into two main sections:
- The Jeongnimsaji Gallery:
- Visitors are welcomed by inscribed roof tiles that shed light on Baekje’s history.
- Highlights include the Infinity Room, where artifacts from Jeongnimsaji tell their stories through dynamic lighting shows and other immersive techniques.
- The Baekje Buddhist History Gallery:
- Visitors can listen to captivating narratives about Baekje Buddhism as told by the six kings of Sabi Baekje.
A key attraction is the Sabi Yeonhwa 360 Sphere Theater, which features 360-degree ultra-high-definition visuals. Limited to 14 viewers per session, the screenings run every hour on the hour, at 20 minutes past, and at 40 minutes past. Each session lasts approximately 15 minutes, offering an unforgettable visual journey.
The Jeongnimsaji Museum has successfully combined history and modern technology to bring the stories of Baekje to life, creating a truly immersive cultural experience.
