Following World Cat Day on August 8, Korea celebrates its own Cat Day on September 9. To mark this occasion, the city of Suwon is hosting a special event called the Suwon Cat Day Celebration.
Promoting Harmony with Animals
Suwon City aims to establish itself as a "City of Coexistence" and an "Animal-Friendly City," in line with its status as a Suwon Special Municipality. The event seeks to dispel misconceptions about cats and explore ways for humans and cats to live together healthily and happily.
